Yes, a woman is the only person responsible for her choice, no religious belief must be imposed on her and yes, with overpopulation being the biggest danger for the future of Humanity, birth control should be promoted including abortion.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Missouri Satanic Temple claimed an early victory for religious freedom in a case seeking to overturn an abortion law requiring a women to wait 72 hours before the procedure, undergo an ultrasound and hear a fetal heartbeat.<\/p>\n<p>During Tuesday\u2019s hearing, Missouri Supreme Court Judge Laura Denvir Stith asked the state to clarify whether women were forced by law to undergo an ultrasound in order to listen to the fetal heartbeat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best interpretation of that statue,\u201d\u00a0responded Solicitor General John Sauer,\u00a0\u201cis that she is entitled to decline.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no legal requirement that she must pay for the ultrasound,\u201d\u00a0he added.<\/p>\n<p>The statute, passed by the Republican-controlled Missouri legislature in 2014, increased to 72 hours, from 24, the amount of time a woman must wait to undergo an abortion after first receiving counseling, read a booklet, view an ultrasound and hear the fetal heartbeat.<\/p>\n<p>The attorney representing the\u00a0Satanic Temple\u00a0argued the law was both medically unnecessary and a violation of a woman\u2019s personal religious beliefs, and asked the state to block the law.<\/p>\n<p>The plaintiff in the case, referred to in court filings as\u00a0\u201cMary Doe,\u201d\u00a0is challenging the state\u2019s\u00a0\u201cinformed consent\u201d\u00a0law, on the basis it violates her religious beliefs in bodily autonomy, which is one of the tenets of the Satanic Temple.<\/p>\n<p>According to the\u00a0complaint, Mary Doe said she received an ultrasound prior to her abortion at the St. Louis branch of Planned Parenthood in 2015, even though\u00a0\u201cno medical purpose was served by compelling Mary Doe to get an ultrasound.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is not clear when the Missouri Supreme Court will issue its final decision in the\u00a0case,, which has spent the last several years working its way through state and federal courts. If the Supreme Court rules that Missouri\u2019s abortion laws did in fact violate Doe\u2019s religious rights, Missouri women could conceivably use the same argument to avoid the 72-hour waiting period and other restrictions imposed by the legislature.<\/p>\n<p>The federal case is currently under review at the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the state turns to her and says, \u2018Would you like to hear the heartbeat?\u2019 They\u2019re preaching from the pulpit,\u201d\u00a0James MacNaughton, the Satanic Temple\u2019s attorney, told\u00a0Riverfront Times\u00a0in September.\u00a0\u201cThat\u2019s an imposition. It\u2019s not the business of the state to be a preacher.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Satanic Temple is a non-theistic religious organization dedicated to Satanic practice and promotion of Satanic rights.
