{"id":340859,"date":"2021-11-07T21:38:53","date_gmt":"2021-11-08T02:38:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rael.org\/?p=340859"},"modified":"2021-11-14T01:32:26","modified_gmt":"2021-11-14T06:32:26","slug":"flu-kills-646000-people-worldwide-each-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rael.org\/sl\/flu-kills-646000-people-worldwide-each-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Flu Kills 646,000 People Worldwide Each Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>RAEL&#8217;S COMMENT:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">The flu killed around 400,000 people every year before the covid paranoia started.<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><!--more--><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"article__summary summary \">\n<p>Seasonal flu kills 291,000 to 646,000 people worldwide each year, according to a new estimate that&#8217;s higher than the previous one of 250,000 to 500,000 deaths a year.<\/p>\n<p>The new figures from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other groups were published Dec. 13 in The Lancet medical journal.<\/p>\n<p>The updated numbers, which do not include deaths during flu pandemics, are based on more recent data from a larger and more diverse group of countries than the previous estimate, the CDC said.<\/p>\n<p>The data came from 33 countries that have 57 percent of the world&#8217;s population and had seasonal flu numbers for a minimum of four years between 1999 and 2015.
