How to start the day? Always by smiling. Alone. Not smiling to other people, which is a kind of communication. In your bed or in your futon, when you wake up, before opening your eyes, smile.
Who are you smiling to? Nobody? Nobody?
To billions of cells. Your body. How many? Thirty-four billion or trillion, I don’t remember, cells.
When you smile, they feel it. And when they smile, because they can smile too, you feel it. Sometimes, I’m sure you’ve all noticed it: “Ah, I feel good.” Especially when you stretch or when you breathe deeply like that. You make these billions of cells smile. When you don’t have enough oxygen to give them energy, naturally you have a deep sigh. What is that? Who are you talking to when you go, “Ahhh…”? To these cells.
When you have pain somewhere, when you hurt your knee or any other place, what do you do? “Oh, my stomach hurts… ah… ” And then you touch the place. Why? You communicate with your cells, and you feel better. By just placing your hand there.
Who is touching whom? You are touching yourself. You are communicating with your cells.
“Hello! I am here! I love you! Stop being in pain!” You touch. It’s amazing, eh?
Sometimes we make fun of old people, or young people too, who talk to themselves. “Oh, I will cook something.” My mother was like that. “Oh, maybe I need to put a little more salt.” Alone in the kitchen. Everything she was doing, she was saying out loud. Nobody was listening. The cells did. Instinctively, you talk to yourself.
Who is talking to whom? To yourself. If you have pain in your stomach, talk to your stomach. “I feel you. I understand your suffering. You will feel better soon.” The cells feel that.
I remember when I was, at times in my life, in the hospital because I was very sick. You can choose to suffer or to heal. You heal yourself from physical pain or mental suffering.
When you are sad, or depressed, or simply having a bad day, it happens to everybody. Then the terrible devil word comes: “Why?” It is poison, pure poison, because you always give yourself an answer. It’s a terrible trap, like a mouse trap. “I am Raelian. I follow Maitreya’s Happiness Academy. Why do I feel sad today? Why?”
Ah! “It’s because…” Then you find a justification for your suffering. And it’s very interesting because you can become depressed by being depressed. “I am sad to be sad. Especially as a Raelian. How can I be sad? I know Maitreya. I know the Happiness Academy. How can I suffer?” And then you add another suffering, which is guilt. “How can I suffer? I am Raelian. I have received the light of the Elohim. Wow! I must be a very bad Raelian.” You know.
And in the same way that you can be sad to be sad, when you are sad, and then sad to be sad, you can become even more sad to be sad to be sad. Never-ending. Or, when you are in the hospital: “I have pain, but I am healing. I feel my body healing itself.” It’s not an illusion. Constantly, your body is healing itself.
Do you know that every day, everybody develops new cancers? Every minute, your body creates cancer cells. But the Elohim placed inside us a special police force. Like when you go through a red light and the police stop you. We have, in our blood and throughout our body, this police force. And this police force, as soon as there is one cell that becomes abnormal, destroys it. Constantly.
Every minute, you have millions of cells, millions, that are destroyed by this police force. This police force is called the immune system.
When we were created, I am not talking about the first human beings in the laboratories of the Elohim. I am talking about when you were created in your mother’s womb. Sperm and ovum, pyoum! They meet inside. The sperm enters, then two cells appear, four, eight… And it becomes bigger. It looks like a little blackberry. Or a black raspberry, if you like. That’s why they call this stage – when you look like a little berry – the morula. The medical name is morula. It means a little fruit. And at this level, all cells are perfect.
Then, as development continues, some mistakes can happen. You know, with your computer, you do copy-paste every day. All our cells work like that. We can live 70, 80, 90 years. Not our cells. You can live 80 or 90 years, but your cells have a very short lifespan. For some of them, only a few hours. Then they die. But they are immediately replaced by a cell that is identical.
Copy-paste. All our life.
But sometimes, because we have billions of cells, like with your computer, there is a mistake. We say, “corrupt file.” Corrupt meaning that something was modified and the copy is no longer the same. That’s the problem. That’s aging. Copy-paste with mistakes.
The immune system policeman then reacts! Every time the copy-paste is not exactly the same, it destroys the cell. But in your body, billions and billions, we can even say trillions, of cells are constantly copying and pasting themselves. And sometimes the police don’t see. And that’s aging.
You are full of hair, and suddenly, whoop! no more. Beautiful skin and then wrinkles. That’s a copy-paste mistake. Everywhere. Beautiful breasts? Copy-paste mistake. Black hair? Oops! White hair. Copy-paste mistake. Black beard? White beard. All our body, constantly. A little bit is okay, but we live a long life.
Cells live, for some of them, only a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks. But we live 80, 90 years. So, there are more and more copy-paste mistakes. Suddenly, the majority is corrupt. And the police cannot fix it anymore. They give up. We call it death. When there are too many mistakes, the system says: “End of program.” And we die. Everything alive on Earth is like that. Trees. Animals. Plants. Except one.
There is one jellyfish living on Earth, and scientists are shocked. This jellyfish is eternal. It never dies. Of course, it goes through the same process of aging. And after many years, there are too many mistakes. But it doesn’t die. It shrinks back to its original cells. It eliminates all the cells that have become corrupted. And when it is very small again, made only of pure cells, it grows once more. The Elohim made that to help us discover something. And many scientists are now studying this jellyfish, trying to use what they learn for human beings.
We all age. When we become too old, with too much damage, if we could grow back into a baby, that would be fun, eh? And then grow again. This is a puzzle for scientists. They don’t understand it. They don’t fully understand quantum physics either.
In fact, there are more things that scientists don’t understand than things they do understand. And it will always be like that. As the greatest scientists say: “The more I study, the more I realize I know nothing.” You can recognize real scientists by the way they speak. If they say, “We know everything,” they are not scientists. If they say, “I don’t know, and nobody knows,” that is already higher. And even higher:
“We may never know.” That’s the top of the top. The highest level is always mixed with humility. It’s beautiful. And it’s the same at our level. Why are people not friendly and not smiling? Why don’t they give love? Because they think they know everything about everybody. They see somebody and say: “Oh, I know this person. Oh, he is bad.” But when you are full of love, every time you meet somebody, even somebody you have met thousands of times before, you are ready to be amazed.
Every human being is a mystery. Every human being. Everybody in this room. Everybody on Earth. Everybody in the universe. Everyone is constantly changing. You can feel it or not, but you are changing.
Buddha said: “Nothing is permanent.” That means nothing. Including us. The most beautiful example: I love going to cemeteries. I love it! It’s full of people who wanted to do something the next day… But finished underground. Or in a pot of ashes.
Every human being who died, which means every human being who has ever existed, wanted to do something the next day. Is there something you want to do? And you say: “I will do it tomorrow.” Oh? Are you sure you will be alive tomorrow? You are sure? I am not sure. So, each second becomes precious. Because all these fantastic machines… Nothing is permanent inside them.
My heart is not the heart I had when I was born. My brain is not the brain I had last year. All our cells are changing constantly. And so is our consciousness. And even more important, our supraconsciousness. When you meditate today, try to remember your meditation seven years ago. They are not the same. The first time you meditate, you don’t really meditate. Because you pay attention. You don’t feel everything. You look at a wall and say: “Wow, I meditate.” And when you say that, there is no more meditation.
With time, there is no more “wow.” There is no more wall. You meditate in front of a wall, but you don’t see it. You meditate with your body, but you don’t feel your body. That is ultimate meditation. But all these machines are constantly changing. Feel the change. Magic.
“Oh, I have pain.” It’s fixing itself. A lot of police and ambulances are coming. It’s amazing. It’s happening. But when you trust only medicine, you give up your own ability to heal yourself. You go to the hospital and think: “The hospital will fix my health.” You take the pills they give you and think: “The pills will fix my health.” Never.
When I was in the hospital and they gave me pills, my meditation was: “I will heal, even with these terrible pills.” I take them, but they are not worthy of my attention. My body. My immune system is infinitely more powerful than any human medicine. Our best doctor: The Elohim. They put everything inside us. Some people, you know, during the joke of COVID: “Oh, we need a vaccine.” Everybody. This is an insult to the Elohim. And that’s why people die. Punishment.
No vaccine. I trust the Elohim doctors. My body.
Think about the millions of people on Earth who lived through an infinite number of pandemics. There was no vaccine. There were no antibiotics. But we are alive. There was not even a hospital. Because there was an incredibly good doctor called the immune system. Patented. Patented by the Elohim. You know the little ® after a patented product? You should have a big one here. The best doctors in the infinite universe: The Elohim.
And we can live 120 years, 122 for Jeanne Calment. Not vegetarian. Smoking. Putting sugar in every glass of water. One big spoon of sugar in every glass. When people asked, “Why do you put sugar?” She answered: “Otherwise, it has no taste.” One hundred and twenty-two years old. Until the age of 117, she smoked one pack of cigarettes every day and ate one kilo of chocolate every week. Not dark bitter chocolate. Regular chocolate with sugar. That’s Jeanne Calment. But laughing. Always having fun. That’s the secret of the registered doctor. Smiling to this fantastic machine.
What is laughter? Nobody can explain it. You just look at the ocean, and laughter comes. You open your eyes in bed, and you laugh. You don’t think about the taxes you have to pay. How you will buy food. The problems with your partner, girlfriend, or boyfriend.
You wake up. And you laugh. Why? For no reason. It comes naturally from the whole body. When you laugh, just as when you smile, it is billions of cells laughing. You can simulate laughter. But when it comes naturally, it comes from them. Suddenly there is a contraction. Think about it. All your cells are laughing when you laugh. And when you feel it, you laugh even more. You cannot stop.
Why stop laughing? There is no reason.
Only death can make you stop laughing. But I guarantee you, when you wake up on the planet of the Elohim, you wake up and laugh. In fact, it is infinite laughter.
So why not start now?
