Every year on July 11, on the occasion of World Population Day, the Raelian Movement reaffirms its commitment to the voluntary, ethical, and responsible stabilization of the world’s population. For over fifty years, it has championed the idea that a truly advanced civilization rests on a stable global population.
This vision is inspired by the teachings passed down to Rael according to which the Elohim, scientific creators of all life on Earth, themselves ensured the harmonious development of their civilization by voluntarily maintaining a stable population, thus allowing everyone to live in abundance, freedom and fulfillment.
The messages transmitted to Rael in 1973 invite humanity to become aware of the consequences of unlimited population growth on the future of the planet and propose concrete solutions such as stabilizing the population at two children per couple, defending the autonomy of women, promoting complete sexuality education and making contraception available to all , valuing the legitimate choice not to have children, ensuring that every child is wanted, informing about demographic issues and their ecological and social consequences.
Through this awareness day, the Raelian Movement invites everyone to consider the voluntary stabilization of the world’s population not as a constraint, but as a conscious, responsible, and profoundly humanist choice. Preserving the planet’s balance, guaranteeing a high quality of life for all, and fostering peace are the foundations of a sustainable humanity, oriented towards the future and the well-being of present and future generations.
Overpopulation, the scourge of our humanity... Are there any solutions?
