Yoram Kaniuk was nominated Honorary Guide on October 28, 2011, for his commendable actions of publicly and loudly apostatizing from Judaism and inspiring others to follow. He is a writer of books translated in 25 languages, painter and journalist, living in Tel Aviv, Israel, and married to a Christian woman.
