Fearmongering over DEhydration has created a new problem: OVERhydration

A funny video but another example of stupid Internet “science”. Almost nobody dies from “hyperhydration” (extremely rare) but a huge number of people die of dehydration, and an even greater number suffer from several diseases because of it, symptoms including headaches, menstrual pain, eyes dryness, blood circulation problems, high blood pressure, kidney stones, etc… Yes, every adult person needs to drink around two liters of water every day; and more if you sweat a lot, either due to exercising or hot weather. Never wait to be thirsty to drink. Drink regularly small amounts of water. Prepare a two-liter container in the morning and make sure it’s empty at the end of the day. Another way to see if you drink enough is to be aware of the color of your urine: it must never be dark yellow, but clear. If it’s dark, you need more water! And remember: WATER …no Coca-Cola or any fruit juice…
