Maitreya Rael delar ut titelnf hedersguider till män och kvinnor som inte är raeliska utan som, liksom raelianer, ägnar sina liv åt att förändra världen genom att
minska våldet, fördöma orättvisor, eliminera gudarelaterade tabun och främja mänskliga rättigheter.

1. Madonna

Madonna nominerades som hedersguide den 24 april 1991 för sin roll i att främja sexuellt uppvaknande, som i videoklippet av hennes låt ”Like a Prayer”.  

2. Sinead O’Connor

Sinead O’Connor nominerades till hedersguide den 9 mars 1992, efter att hon rivit sönder en bild av påven i direktsänd TV i protest mot kyrkans roll i att dölja övergrepp mot barn av präster. Bob Marleys ”War” framförd av Sinéad O’Connor på SNL

3. Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson nominerades som hedersguide 1992 för sina låtar för freds och antirasisism, särskilt ”Heal the World”, ”Who’s Bad?” och ”Black or White”. 1992 startade Jackson ”Heal the World Foundation”, som fokuserar på att skapa en säker och hälsosam miljö för barns utveckling och att göra det till högsta prioritet över hela världen. Stiftelsen syftar också till att göra världen medveten om barns rättigheter och behov och att förbättra mänskligheten genom att utrota våld och sjukdomar.

4. George Michael

George Michael nominerades till hedersguide den 8 juli 2002 för sitt videoklipp ”Shoot the Dog”, som kritiserade den amerikanska presidenten George Bush och den brittiska premiärministern Tony Blair för deras beslut att attackera Irak. Videon skildrade Blair som en hund som leddes av Bush, och vissa brittiska TV-stationer censurerade filmklippet på grund av dess chockerande natur. Michael har konsekvent motsatt sig kriget i Irak.

5. Lauryn Hill

Lauryn Hill nominerades som hedersguide den 16 december 2003. Under en julkonsert i Vatikanen kritiserade hon den katolska kyrkan hårt och anklagade den för att korrumpera och misshandla barn. Hon hänvisade till de många sexuella övergreppen mot barn utförda av präster i USA och bad dem att omvända sig. Hon censurerades senare när julaftonskonsertens sändes i repris på TV. För att motivera hennes frånvaro sa de till henne att hennes dokument inte var korrekta. Men dokument måste fyllas i innan evenemangsregistreringen. Vad är den mest troliga anledningen till att Hill klipptes bort? Hon hade kritiserat den katolska kyrkan hårt.

6. Alexandre Grangeiro

Alexandre Grangeiro nominerades som hedersguide den 20 februari 2004. Medan han ledde det brasilianska hälsoministeriets program för att bekämpa aids, fördömde han offentligt den katolska kyrkan för att felaktigt hävda att kondomer inte erbjuder skydd och för att därmed begå ännu ett brott mot mänskligheten.

7. Ramsey Clark

Ramsey Clark nominerades som hedersguide den 4 mars 2004 för sitt öppna brev, daterat den 29 januari 2004, till FN: s generalsekreterare Kofi Annan. (Du kan se brevet på www.iacenter.org/rc_un0104.htm) som före detta amerikansk riksåklagare vid justitiedepartementet tog Ramsey Clark en bestämd ställning mot George W. Bushs våldsamma och olagliga politik, särskilt invasionen av Afghanistan och Irak, där 40 000 försvarslösa människor dödades. Clark jämförde Bush med Goering och fördömde USA: s ackumulering och utveckling av nya kärnvapen medan andra länder har nekats rätten att ha dem. Han fördömde också överträdelsen av kärnvapenavtal som undertecknats av USAs regering och att 567 000 irakiska barn dog som följd av12 års ekonomiska sanktioner, införda av FN enligt USA:s uppmaning.

8. Michael Moore

Michael Moore nominerades som hedersguide den 21 april 2004. Hans dokumentär från 2002, ”Bowling for Columbine”, skildrade ökningen av våld och rädsla i ett vapengalet USA och utforskade underliggande attityder som är ansvariga för denna negativa kulturella miljö. Han har sedan dess gjort andra tankeväckande och kontroversiella dokumentärer som kännetecknas av ett obevekligt sökande efter sanning, uppbackade av hårda men impopulära fakta.

9. Linda Ronstadt

Linda Ronstadt nominerades som hedersguide den 22 juli 2004. efter sitt ständiga stöd för filmskaparen Michael Moore och sina liberala åsikter. Några dagar före sin nominering nekades hon ett framträdande på Aladdin Casino i Las Vegas efter att hon tillägnat låten ”Desperado” till Moore och bett sin publik att se Fahrenheit 9/11, hans senaste film. I sitt engagemang beskrev hon Moore som ”en patriot som sprider sanningen”. Engagemanget retade upp många i publiken, som medvetet spillde ut drycker, rev ner affischer och krävde tillbaka sina pengar. Enligt en talesperson för Aladdin reste sig cirka 25 procent av publiken på 4 500 och gick innan föreställningen var slut.

10. Bill Gates

Bill Gates nominerades som hedersguide den 26 juli 2004. Grundare av Microsoft, en av världens rikaste män och en världsomspännande filantrop. Under 2004 gav Gates ytterligare 3 miljarder dollar till välgörenhetsstiftelser som främjar större jämlikhet, global hälsa och lärande. När Rael utnämnde honom till hedersguide sa han att Gates är mycket mer av ett helgon än moder Theresa var. Detta eftersom han inte spenderar 90 procent av sina donerade medel på att försöka konvertera dem han hjälper till en annan religiös tro än sin egen, vilket moder Theresa gjorde. Rael påpekade att utbildning och grundläggande hälsoåtgärder borde vara allas rätt och påpekade att Gates var ett exempel på generositet och medkänsla – utan baktankar om religiös omvändelse.

11. Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner nominerades som hedersguide i oktober 2004 för sina viktiga prestationer när det gäller att bryta sexuella tabun. Playboy-magnaten publicerade också ett reportage om Raeliska rörelsen i oktober 2004 som innehöll foton av ett antal lättklädda raeliska kvinnor.      

12. Hugo Chavez

Hugo Chavez nominerades till hedersguide i oktober 2004 för sitt stöd till dem som fördömer de fruktansvärda folkmord och andra brott som begåtts av européer under koloniseringen av Amerika. Han förkastade namnet på den traditionella Columbus Day-semestern i Amerika och förklarade att den framöver skulle kallas Indian Resistance Day för att hedra de inhemska invånarna.

13. Eminem

Eminem nominerades som hedersguide den 29 november 2004 för sin antikrigssång ”Mosh”. Videon visar att statlig ”fear-mongering”, oavsett om den införs lokalt eller nationellt, är mycket effektiv för att manipulera människor.

14. Thaksin Shinawatra

Thaksin Shinawatra tidigare premiärminister i Thailand): nominerades till hedersguide den 13 december 2004 för sin insats för att motverka våld på ett kreativt och fredligt sätt. För att hjälpa till att stoppa våldet i en muslimskt dominerad sydlig region i Thailand lät han militärplan släppa tusentals pappers ”fredsbomber”, varav några innehöll löften om utbildning eller sysselsättning.

15. Leon Ferrari

Leon Ferrari nominerades till hedersguide den 10 januari 2005 för sitt mest kända konstverk, La civilización occidental y Cristiana (”Western-Christian Civilization”,1965), där Kristus visas korsfäst på ett amerikanskt krigsplan som en symbolisk protest mot Vietnamkriget. Ferrari har också skapat verk som anses stötande av den katolska kyrkan, och en av hans utställningar tvingades stänga i Buenos Aires efter att en katolsk präst fått ett domstolsbeslut.

16. Michael Newdow

Michael Newdow nominerades till hedersguide den 17 januari 2005 för sitt engagemang med att ta bort alla omnämnanden om ”Gud” från offentliga sammanhang i USA. (Se hans hemsida. Han är en Newdow, en advokat och en läkare som är bosatt i Kalifornien. www.restorethepledge.com)

17. Församling Churchill

Ward Churchill nominerades till hedersguide den 10 februari 2005 för sin antikrigs-uppsats ”Satya”, som många i USA ansåg vara ”okänslig” eller ”opatriotisk”. Churchill påpekade att de tre miljoner människor som dödades i kriget i Indokina och de som dog i USA:s invasioner av Grenada och Panama, var offer för samvetslösa regeringsbeslut. Vidare sade han att ursprungsbefolkningar fortfarande är föremål för folkmordspolitik. Han är professor vid Colorado University.

18. Rosie O’Donnell

Rosie O’Donnell nominerades till hedersguide den 15 juli 2005 för sitt orubbliga stöd för mänskliga rättigheter. Hon berömde Kanadas beslut att erkänna homosexuellas rättigheter och fördömde USA för att vägra att ge homosexuella rätten att gifta sig.

19. Nicholas Negroponte

Nicholas Negroponte nominerades till hedersguide den 1 oktober 2005. Rael skickade sina personliga gratulationer till Nicholas Negroponte och utsåg honom till hedersguide för hans framsteg av utbildning i fattiga länder. Negroponte har åtagit sig att ge barn över hela världen möjlighet att använda Internets möjligheter för utbildning och kommunikation, och är för närvarande ordförande för One Laptop Per Child, en ideell organisation som levererar billiga (under $ 100) datorer avsedda för barn i fattiga länder.

20. Michel Houellebecq

Michel Houellebecq nominerades till hedersguide den 7 oktober 2005 för: (1) Att ha skrivit en roman (dess svenska titel är ”Refug”) som skildrar en religiös rörelse inspirerad av Raeliska rörelsen. (2) Integritet och exemplarisk ärlighet när man offentligt diskuterar raeliska rörelsen. (3) Skapa extraordinärt och globalt mediaintresse för Raelianism. Houellebecq har sagt att han är stolt över att ha blivit utnämnd till hedersguide, särskilt eftersom han var den första, och vid den tiden, den enda franska medborgaren som hade fått denna titel.  

21. Cindy Sheehan

Cindy Sheehan nominerades till hedersguide den 8 november 2005 för hennes arbete för fred och icke-våld. Sheehans son Casey dödades när han var i tjänst i Irak, och efter hans död krävde hon en förklaring till kriget från president George Bush och kampanjade oavbrutet mot det målet. Genom att etablera ett läger nära portarna till hans Crawford -ranch för att offentligt protestera mot kriget och de meningslösa dödsfall som det hade medfört, återupplivade hon den amerikanska fredsrörelsen för en ny generation.

22. Brian Haw

Brian Haw nominerades till hedersguide den 14 januari 2006. Brian Haw hade tillbringat fyra och ett halvt år i läger utanför Londons parlament för att belysa de irakiska barnens situation. Brian Haw greps efter att en lag hade antagits som förbjuder spontan yttrandefrihet inom en kilometers radie från underhuset och sa till polisen: ”Jag bryter inte mot freden. Jag kämpar för den. Han släpptes nästan omedelbart: Trots att hans sovsäck låg inom rop-avstånd från premiärministerns sovrum, hade han varit där innan lagen trädde i kraft. Domarna i High Court beslutade att han var undantagen från domen. Trots att polisen fortsatte att trakassera honom, gick Haw tillbaka till Parliament Square och inrättade ett fredsläger. 23. William Blum

William Blum nominerades till hedersguide den 25 januari 2006. Den amerikanska författaren och policykritikern Blum har skrivit flera böcker, bland annat ”Rogue State: A Guide to the World’s Only Superpower”, som blev en bästsäljare efter att Usama bin Ladin i ett videomeddelande sagt att alla amerikaner borde läsa den. Blum var en före detta anställd vid utrikesdepartementet och började sin aktivistkarriär 1969 när han avslöjade namn och adresser på 212 CIA-tjänstemän, och han har sedan dess författat ett antal böcker och arbetat för att avslöja regeringens korruption.

24. Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Ayaan Hirsi Ali was nominated honorary guide on Feb. 6, 2006. This Dutch feminist, writer, and politician was born in Somalia, left her native country at 22 to escape from an arranged marriage, and found refuge in the Netherlands, where she later became an elected representative. A strong advocate of the freedom of Muslim women, she became a target of Islamic extremists. Theo Van Gogh, director of “Soumission,” (“Submission”), a film critical of the treatment of women in Islamic society, was murdered by such a group in November 2004, and Dutch authorities have confirmed that Hirsi Ali, who wrote the screenplay, is also in danger.

25. Wafa Sultan

Wafa Sultan was nominated honorary guide on March 20, 2006, for taking a strong stand on the drawbacks of Muslim fundamentalism. Arab-American psychologist Wafa Sultan of Los Angeles. In an interview aired on Al-Jazeera TV on Feb. 21, 2006, she said today’s primary conflict is not a clash of civilizations, but a clash between the mentality of the Middle Ages and that of the 21st century.

26. Michel Onfray

Michel Onfray was nominated honorary guide on March 20, 2006. The work of this French philosopher and writer is very close to the Raelian philosophy.

27. Michael Berg

Michael Berg was nominated honorary guide on June 9, 2006, for his admirable reaction to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi’s execution by the American army. Although his son had been beheaded by this man, Berg took a stand against revenge, saying every act of violence leads to more violence in a never-ending, vicious circle of death. Berg practices the absolute non-violence advocated by Ghandi – the only value that can save the world.

28. Warren Buffett

Warren Buffett was nominated honorary guide on June 30, 2006, for his exceptional generosity and compassion. An American investor and one of the world’s richest men, Buffett announced in June 2006 that he had decided to give away 85 percent of his vast wealth to benefit humanity. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and other foundations have begun distributing the funds to assorted educational and humanitarian projects around the world.

29. King Jigme Singye Wangchuck

King Jigme Singye Wangchuck was nominated honorary guide on Aug. 10, 2006, for his wise rule illustrating peace and love toward all of humanity. Rael especially commended the emphasis placed on “Gross National Happiness” over economic growth. He also praised the king’s decision to make the Kingdom of Bhutan the first non-smoking nation; the care taken to protect the country from the cultural pollution of excessive tourism, and his offer to give up his power as supreme ruler and institute democratic procedures. Largely through his efforts, the country is now a constitutional monarchy rather than an absolute monarchy. Revered by his people, he retained power after a democratic vote, then abdicated in favor of his eldest son in late 2006.

30. Dr. John Sanford

Dr. John Sanford was nominated honorary guide on Aug. 21, 2006, for his brilliant and courageous exposure of the flaws in the evolutionary premise. In his book “Genetic Entropy and the Mystery of the Genome,” Sanford illustrated that the very foundation of the theory of evolution, the “primary axiom,” is false. In addition to presenting compelling evidence that entire genomes cannot evolve upward, he presented compelling evidence that higher genomes actually degenerate over time. A growing number of scientists, including Dr. Sanford, are courageously countering the views of those “elevated high priests of the scientific community” who continue promoting evolution as an incontestable reality despite overwhelming evidence against it.

31. Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo

Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo was nominated honorary guide on November 7, 2006. This Zambian Archbishop made it his mission to seek change in longstanding Vatican policy. Had he been successful in persuading his superiors that priests should be allowed to marry, he could have saved many innocent children from sexual abuse, but he was excommunicated from the Catholic Church for ordaining married men. The widely publicized existence of numerous pedophiles in the Catholic Church speaks for itself, and the only way to deal with it is to allow priests a normal sex life.

32. Jose Ramos Hortas

Jose Ramos Hortas was nominated honorary guide on December 29, 2006, for his message to Osama Bin Laden aired six days earlier by the BBC. The message encouraged the Al Qaeda leader to extend the love and compassion he shows for his Muslim brothers and sisters to everyone in the world. He is the prime minister of East Timor.

33. Tali Fahima

Tali Fahima was nominated honorary guide on January 4, 2007. This Israeli peace activist served two-thirds of a three-year prison sentence for helping a Palestinian militant. “I was brought up to consider Arabs as something that shouldn’t be here,” she told Ha’ir, a Tel Aviv weekly paper. “One day I understood there were many gaps in my information, things that are not in the media. I realized that it’s about human beings, and that we have to take responsibility for the way their lives look.”

34. Eyal Sivan

Eyal Sivan nominerades till hedersguide den 20 februari 2007, Sivan regisserade ”Route 181: Fragments of a Journey in Israel-Palestine”, en film där han skildrade klyftan i det fysiska landskapet och de människor som bor i där. 35. Sean Penn

Sean Penn nominerades till hedersguide den 4 april 2007, den Oscar-vinnande stjärnan i ”Mystic River” (han oscarsnominerades också för ”I Am Sam” och ”Dead Man Walking”). Rael citerade Penns ovillkorliga ställning för fred och hans unika sätt att påminna människor om att ett enda mänskligt liv alltid är värdefullt, oavsett om den personen är från USA, Irak, Iran eller någon annanstans.

36. Sheikh Mohammed

Sheikh Mohammed nominerades till hedersguide den 26 maj 2007. Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum: Som härskare i Dubai avsatte han 10 miljarder dollar till en utbildningsfond i Mellanöstern, där 40 procent av kvinnorna saknar tillgång till utbildning.

37. Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter nominerades till hedersguide den 11 oktober 2007 för sin modiga hållning att ”sätta sanning före politiskt korrekt nationalism”.

38. Tiken Jah Fakoli

Tiken Jah Fakoli nominerades till hedersguide den 28 december 2007. Denna kändis från Elfenbenskusten skrev låten ”Nej till omskärelse” för att protestera mot den barbariska traditionen med kvinnlig könsstympning. Han har också engagerat sig för afrikansk enhet, fred och förlåtelse. Hans musikvideo ”Non a l’excision”

39. Daniel Barenboim

Daniel Barenboim nominerades till hedersguide den 17 januari 2008 för att ha främjat fred i Mellanöstern och kämpat för palestinska rättigheter. Han är en känd dirigent och pianist, israelisk medborgare.

40. Vincent Kragbe Gadou

Vincent Kragbe Gadou nominerades till hedersguide den 19 september 2008. Rael berömde honom för hans extraordinära engagemang i skapandet av en frihandelszon samt för hans främjande av samarbete med de så kallade tillväxtländerna Kina, Indien och Brasilien. Han är gadou, ordförande för frihandelszonen inom bioteknik och informationsteknik i Elfenbenskusten.

41. Noam Chomsky

Noam Chomsky nominerades till hedersguide den 30 september 2008 för sina lovvärda handlingar som syftar till förståelse och fred. Han är en amerikansk lingvist, filosof, kognitionsforskare, politisk aktivist, författare och föreläsare.

42. Jacque Fresco

Jacque Fresco nominerades till hedersguide den 23 oktober 2008 för sitt livslånga och djupa engagemang för att utforska mänskligt beteende och mänsklighetens framtid. Han är en känd futurist, självlärd forskare, arkitekt och uppfinnare. Intervju på BBC (video)

43. Gilad Atzmon

Tsvi Misinai nominerades till hedersguide den 6 augusti 2009 för sina kraftfulla handlingar för att bevisa att palestinier är judar som konverterat till islam. Han är en känd pionjär inom den israeliska mjukvaruindustrin.

46. Patch Adams

Patch Adams was nominated Honorary Guide on May 10, 2010, for his efforts to bring more compassion, love, and justice to our planet. A doctor and social activist, he created the Gesundheit institute as a school and clinic practicing alternative medicine. His interview clip

Georges Soros was nominated Honorary Guide on September 8, 2010, for his actions to promote and defend human rights. As a billionaire, he is well known for his work in currency speculation and philanthropic activities.

48. Timothy Berners-Lee

Timothy Berners-Lee was nominated Honorary Guide on September 17th, 2010, as the principal inventor of the internet and the World Wide Web and for advocating free internet access for all humanity.

49. Peter Tatchell

Peter Tatchell was nominated Honorary Guide on September 21st, 2010, for campaigning for human rights, democracy, and global justice since 1967. He is co-founder of the gay rights organization Outrage and a left-wing member of the Green Party of the United Kingdom.

50. Yoav Shamir

Yoav Shamir was nominated Honorary Guide on September 30, 2010, for his controversial viewpoint of Israeli political policies in his documentaries ‘‘Check Point’’ and ‘‘Defamation’’. His documentaries ‘‘Check Point’’  

51. Julian Assange

Julian Assange nominerades till hedersguide den 10 december 2010 för att ha ägnat sitt liv åt att skapa en bättre värld och för att ha avslöjat bland annat regeringars manipulation och lögner på visselblåsarsajten Wikileaks.

52. IllanPappe

llanPappe was nominated Honorary Guide on February 26, 2011, for his vision for justice and his declaration regarding the current leaders of Israel as criminals for the many terrible acts against the Palestinian people.

53. Norman Finkelstein

Norman Finkelstein was nominated Honorary Guide on March 7, 2011, for his sharp and well-argued criticism against the State of Israel as well as Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian people.

54. Michael Bailey

Michael Bailey was nominated Honorary Guide on March 11, 2011, for his effort to carry out the “pleasure demonstration ” in his curriculum. He is best known among scientists for his work on the etiology of sexual orientation, He also wrote The Man Who Would Be Queen, which has elicited reactions ranging from strong criticism to a nomination for an award later retracted from the Lambda Literary Foundation.

55. Gerald Kaufman

Gerald Kaufman was nominated Honorary Guide on March 31, 2011, for his opinion about Israel against Palestine. He is a member of the Jewish Labour Movement, formerly Poale Zion a pro-Zionist group affiliated with the Labour party in Britain, and has become one of the leading critics of Israeli policies.

56. Amar Bose

Amar Bose was nominated Honorary Guide since May 21, 2011, for his philanthropy and recent gift to MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology USA). He donated a vast amount of his money to science and education instead of letting everything go to his descendants.

57. Mordechai Vanunu

Mordechai Vanunu was nominated Honorary Guide on May 21, 2011, in recognition of his 25-year struggle for the nuclear-free Middle East. Risking his life for peace, he is the Israeli nuclear technician who leaked the secret Israeli nuclear plans to the British media in 1986.

58. Rais Bhuiyan

Rais Bhuiyan was nominated for Honorary Guide on June 9, 2011, for his effort to prevent his attacker from being executed. He is the head of the “World without Hate” organization. He is a Muslim from Bangladesh living in the United States. His video “World Without Hate”

59. Louis Farrakhan

Louis Farrakhan was nominated Honorary Guide on June 27, 2011, for his controversial positions on social and political matters including his speech on U.S. and NATO criminal war actions in Libya and Africa. He spooks out against Barak Obama and his war policies which favor American interests at the risk of all other nations on Earth. He is the leader of the Chicago, Illinois-based Nation of Islam. 61. Yoram Kaniuk

Yoram Kaniuk was nominated Honorary Guide on October 28, 2011, for his commendable actions of publicly and loudly apostatizing from Judaism and inspiring others to follow. He is a writer of books translated in 25 languages, painter and journalist, living in Tel Aviv, Israel, and married to a Christian woman. His religion status is now “no religion”, like his children, even if considered a Jew by nationality.

62. Bradley Manning

Bradley Manning was nominated Honorary Guide on December 20, 2011, for revealing the dirty secrets of the US government which expose despicable acts against humanity. He is a young American, military graded, accused of giving up top-secret defense information to Wikileaks. Some see him as a criminal others as an “alert”.

63. Jacob Zuma

Jacob Zuma was nominated Honorary Guide on December 23, 2011, for having berated Christianity for bringing on the existence of orphans and old age homes. Jacob Zuma has been the President of South Africa since 2009, and made this statement at the launch of a road safety and crime awareness campaign. He also told in his speech, that Africans, long before the arrival of religion and the gospel, had their own ways of doing things.
